The Rolex Award for 2012 goes to Sergey Berezniuk

The award of the prestigious Swiss company Rolex in 2012, goes to Russian ecologist Sergei Berezniuk, which has diversified in recent months for having participated in some important projects for the preservation of nature.

Rolex, in addition to being one of the most famous houses in the field of Haute Horlogerie, for years has also been active in protecting and caring for the environment and especially the animals. The Russian ecologist, was chosen by the house to have cured and preserved with great care an Amur tiger.

This subspecies, which is found only in the Far East Russia, is also included in the Red Book of the WWF, now remained only 400 specimens in the world and the biggest threat to these animals, poachers are as usual, given the value of their spectacular coat.

The award presented by Rolex to Russian, therefore, should be assigned for his contribution in preserving its cultural heritage.
