Möwe, a 3D printer paper

According to designer Mac Funamizu, printers and paper will also follow the trend 3D. His recent concept called Möwe illustrates his vision quite well.

Möwe is sort of missing link between paper printers and 3D printers. The device is connected to the computer via Bluetooth or WiFi. Apparently it is also compatible with portable devices like smartphones and tablets. All you need is software like Google 3D Warehouse or equivalent to achieve three-dimensional models. When printing starts, Möwe is able to identify which parts must be cut and fold paper to give the modeled form. This printer does not just make 3D shapes with paper, it also layer of ink on paper to color the model.

This design concept has little chance to emerge, however, it shows a rather interesting track for the future.
